An Alternative Approach
My name is Jennifer Hobbs, MA, LCMHC, and I am grateful you’re visiting Teen, Tween, and Child Counseling & Consulting. Our practice is both unique and dedicated to providing specialized care. I facilitate group therapy sessions with a focus on children, tweens, and teens. Our in-person, co-ed groups offer week-long sessions for 3rd to 8th graders and weekend intensives for 7th to 10th graders. We address a range of challenges, including but not limited to ADHD, anger management difficulties, depression, emotional outbursts, high-functioning autism spectrum disorder, generalized anxiety, and parent-child communication issues.

Group sizes will range from six to ten members. These groups are ideal for clients experiencing persistent behavioral patterns who could benefit from additional support. They also provide an excellent alternative for potential clients on waitlists, as we collaborate with other mental health providers, youth organizations, private schools, and family pastors within the community.
This program is designed to support all group participants in developing the skills necessary to thrive at home, in school, and within their community. Interventions will include, but are not limited to, impulse control, alternative coping strategies, behavioral therapy techniques, emotional regulation, respect for others, and enhanced family communication skills.
